He asks questions about what it is that you want (and need) in order to have your dissertation in tip-top shape for your deposit. I couldn’t edit this on my own because after I defended my dissertation I had a job offer, and due to the fact that it was full time position I needed to outsource my editing because with a long commute to and from work as well, I just did not have the time. He provided me with amazing proof-reading, perfect citations, and a great table of contents/figures. It was also edited within the exact guidelines of my institution (he asked to see the guidelines as part of the service as he was editing).
